Day 6 & 7; Deoksugung Palace, Dongdaemun, Sinchon & Farewells.

DAY 6

(i am writing this with a raging heart omg i accidentally deleted everything i wrote ;_____; so i'm rewriting this again and it'd probably be shorter)

drove into Seoul again and same old same old, Seoul is always so jammed up. lol. anyways, we were brought to Deoksugung Palace. not much to talk about cuz i couldn't really remember much (i have such bad memories lol :/) i'll just let the photos do all the talking okay? :)

i guess this is where the king used to sit. very chinese after all!

snapped this while waiting for my sister out from the toilet.

and they had some performances outside the Deoksugung Palace. some locals stopped by to watch too :3 quite interesting to see such a sight in the middle of the city! :P

after that was lunch, and we had sam gye tang. i think most people should know this. koreans are popular with their ginseng chicken. it's basically glutinous rice stuffed inside the chicken and cooked with some other herbs + ginseng. love it and it's something different than the normal korean meals we had for the past few days.

after lunch, our tour guide left us at our hotel in Dongdaemun. the room this time was much smaller but the location cannot be any strategic than that. all we need to do is cross a road and all that 5 malls are just across!! we rested for a bit before leaving to shop and we also settled our own dinner. that is a bowl of naengmyeon my sister ordered and i had grilled teriyaki chicken bento! the naengmyeon was actually quite tasty. it's like...mee suah with sour and spicy sauce topped with cucumbers and bits of seaweed. worth trying :)

basically shops that's opposite Dongdaemun malls. do you know the malls in Dongdaemun don't close until 5am?? and yeah, it was still pretty happening when we left at around 1am, but it was also a friday so everyone was still hanging out in cafes. imagine KL having malls closed at 5am, i could shop forever lol.

we entered this mall called Doota mall. oh my.....the things inside are SOOO pretty, the clothes, bags, shoes, accessories...just basically all kinds of shizz. it's not exactly cheap cheap but window shopping there was fun too. seriously, koreans are one of the trendiest people i've seen. they wear heels and platforms to everywhere to go and they are very well dressed that you would feel so under dressed sometimes. jfc, they even wear heels/platforms to mt. sorak. LOL.

but yeah, we screened through the whole mall and only bought one top each. left there and entered Migliore. things were much cheaper there but the atmostphere was less nicer than Doota of course. even the clothes they sell were bit different but we still saw some of the stuffs in Doota there for much cheaper prices!

we even tried cherry coke which tasted basically like cherry + coke. lol, i still prefer the normal coke.

oh! and koreans have the best tv channels. i can scroll their channels up and down forever. i wished astro would bring in sbs, kbs, mbc, mnet and all their other paid channels and i would subscribe to it religiously LOL. i didn't exactly miss a lot of tv programmes there ahahah, everytime i turn on the tv mucore, mubank or inki would be on repeat XP

slept after packing. it was around...2:45am. zzZzzzZ....

DAY 7

the day we left too :(((( i was all quite sad and depressed that day. sobs, i love that place....i want to go back there again. don't know when that'd be, but i would love to go back again! lol this time with more money of course.

oh, we had breakfast at this place meant for tourist. it's like buffet but ewww, the breakfast was disgusting. i'm not even lying if i said it was because i'm not a very picky eater. i only had a little bit and my stomach shuts off automatically after that :3

the last place we went was Sinchon/Lady's Street (or at least that's what our tour guide told us) also another shopping street, not much shops there but i managed to buy a pair of shoes there! :D mum told me last minute that i could buy any hi top that i like whaaaat, it was so last minute so i didn't get any, but another type instead ahahah.

left for airport after that :( we all bid goodbye and even took photos with each other. that 6 hectic days was well spent with new friends! our tour mates were mainly young people so it wasn't too bad :D

yeah and this is our photographer i was talking about. we all thought he was the tour guide's assistant until he told us that he's the photographer and that he is only affiliated to the tour agency, not working directly with the tour agency. it's not that he was exactly cute either but he being so nice with us throughout. loading and unloading our luggages everyday, filling up our kimchis, checking if we have any water left, even grilled our meat for us :3 plus most of us talked him more than we had to the tour guide, age gap i guess. hahahahahah, it was so funny when one of the young girls called him oppa (i loled inside) because the word oppa had always been extremely cheesy to me. oh!! our bus driver was such a nice man too. lmao he always greets me good morning when he sees me.

(those 3 photos were taken with my sister's digicam in case you wonder why the photos were bit....)

my tour group! that old couple on the left lost their way in Myeongdong the other day. omg those young boys went looking for them while i was sitting in the bus stealing wifi from Dunkin Donuts and asbjdlasbkas with jtyy about our lucifer album. but yeah, Myeongdong is pretty complicated, my mum would get lost there too no joke. they eventually found their way back themselves anyways.

we got window seats this time!!!! you have no idea how happy i was because zzZzzzZ the center seats are shit. the first time i sat there, there was a korean man beside me and i couldn't move much because there isn't much space. it's nicer to get window seats because you get more space yourself. it much more comfortable on the way back than on the way there. didn't sleep much though, spent time watching movie and listening to whatever korean songs they were playing that night, and also gazing out the window once in awhile. lol, and i got all emo when they were playing Park Sae Byul's song :/ haha.

yeah, that was pretty much about my 6/7 days there. hectic but funnnnn. lol, i actually missed 2 places out in my first post but w/e just check out my fb for photos later okay? cba to insert them, dnw to accidentally delete the whole post again.

korea's a nice place to sight see so yup! if you want to do some sight seeing, go to korea. idk if you'll get adapted to the food there because you'll get bored of the smell or at least that's what happened to me. i love korean food but to have it everyday...not sure if i want ahahaha. like even right now, i don't even feel like having any.

end of my holiday post!!!!!! i want to go back there again guys. somewhere in the future i hope :)
