Day 4 & 5; Nami Island & Mt. Sorak.

DAY 4

lmao, we ~attended~ kimchi school and made kimchi + wore hanboks. lol sorry kay, my kimchi is so fugly beyond words (only because they gave me an ugly vege hahahah) and i only managed to snap mine. my sister's kimchi was pretty according to the lady. lol.

yeorobun, annyeong haseyo~ i look like i'm pregnant for 9 months. anyways, did nothing much there. we headed for nami island after that. took the boat there and surprised by the amount of locals there too! see, i told you koreans are very recreational. a lot of families and couples there. but i also guess because their summer breaks are hitting in, so a lot of them went there to have fun. idk, i'd love to do it too, i mean, with such cooling weather and all that trees, i honestly wouldn't mind cycling there. looks like a lot of fun to me.

in case if you don't remember, nami island is where they shot Winter Sonata. lol, there is not one person who doesn't know Winter Sonata. it's such a popular drama that made girls bawled watching it :3 i almost forgot what the story about.....BUT YEAH, back to nami island. weather was awesome that day :D took quite some photos there.

haha, this korean couple came up to us to ask us help them snap a photo with their instax mini. so cute. they were so nice to offer us help and snap one for us too :) LOL at least this one wasn't blur and he didn't ran away so quickly after that. at least he asked me how to focus with my camera.

:((( r.i.p park yong ha. although i don't exactly remember you in the show because i was too young and it was too long ago...i hope you'll rest in peace.

lmao some scary figurines that my sister liked.

ahahahahah, i didn't even know my foot was on his foot until i check out the photo myself. why am i like this.

see those cute family bikes?? so interesting omg, i would love to give it a try if i had more time. looks like a lot of fun too.

dinner and then to hotel! love the hotel :D we went for a walk around the hotel and then went back to the room doing nothing much. watched some tv, had junk food and then sleep.

so that's basically how our room is. pretty comfortable!

DAY 5

went to the farm to make cheese and feed the sheeps. lol those sheeps were so fucking adorable, it makes me want to rear one too.

this is how it's done. interesting. we made it with fresh cow milk. like really fresh one straight from the cow. we even had a taste of the milk. nom nom nom, i love it. you'll like it if you enjoy milk.

basically the outcome of it and no, if you think it taste like the cheese we always eat. lol, no, it tasted like....tofu. not much taste. you're supposed to eat it with plain crackers and jam. quite nice actually, but i was too full from breakfast that i only had one piece. looking at this photo now makes me want to have some.

after making our cheese, we went to feed the sheeps. seriously abjdlasbkd how cute is the sheep below but too bad, he was waiting for his turn for his fur to be shaved lol. poor sheep. i still remember how reluctant was he. it's like asking people who kept his dreadlocks all shaved.

i honestly had fun feeding the sheeps. they ate like they haven't been eating for 100 years. so hungry omg, they finished the food in less than a minute.

but yeah, that was pretty much what we did there. so after that, we were brought to this Osaek mineral spring. apparently the water from this small little well is very healthy and a lot of locals would fill up bottles whenever they come here, but trust me....the water is disgusting. it tasted like..blood and rusted steel. i am not joking :/ was wearing my sandals and jeans so i didn't dip my feet in the water.

this well guys and yeah, it's a really small well. i only had 2 drops of the water but the taste of the water was so overpowering. i wonder how the locals actually drank big bottles of it because i really saw people filling up hugeeeeeeee bottle of it.

after that was lunch! mushroom hot pot apparently but the taste was really just too bland for my liking and i usually don't eat very salty food because mum don't cook very salty food at home anyways.

bahahahah, it was funny how my other tour mates wanted salt and they had asked for salt in english. my poor photographer didn't know what it was, they had to find the word salt in korean from this korean-english dictionary they brought and they were like SOGEUM SOGEUMMMM. lulz. but okay, ngl, that dictionary was quite helpful.

after lunch was Mt. Sorak. wow, that place is so beautifulllllllll. it was even prettier up there. jeebus. even though it was so hot down at the mountain, it was so cooling up on the mountains when we took the cable car ride up. definitely worth it. idk, i think we're the only ones who were bothered to take the cable car up. we only get this one time (for now) to see this. lol i mean, how often or when would we be there again right? :D

yeah, the sun was scorching but the weather there is odd. if you walk under the sun it's really really hot, and when you walk under trees right after that, it's really really cooling. like REALLY cooling. LOL, so odd. idek how to explain either.

omg and yeah, we walked and walked and reached this huge Buddha statue. SO BEAUTIFUL. both my sisters and i prayed and then did a little bit of donation.

holy water it seems. haha, so we both had one mouth of the water each and then we quickly walked to cable car station because we only had an hour. time constraint ngehhhh. cable car ride looks long but surprisingly it only took about 5 mins. love the view from up there. so amazing i kid you not. we didn't have much time to climb all the way up though :(

SO PRETTY RIGHT ABSJDLABKSD

left Mt. Sorak after an hour-ish there. stopped by Daepohang fish market for a while. haha, nothing much there actually except for like seafood of course.

there was this small cafe that does take away. we bought a cup of caramel macchiato. so good for such a hot day. my tour mates had ice cream and they said the green tea ice cream was good, but we didn't try any :( lol thinking back about it, we should've. ahaha.

it's small but it's packed. good business.

Teddy Bear Farm was neeexxxxt. it's like a mini version of the teddy bear museum. nothing much there except for cute expensive teddies.

left the farm after spending about an hour there. haha. while on our way out, our photographer who was walking in front of us suddenly stopped. he asked us to look and he was actually holding this dizzy bird that had hit the window lol. so yeah, i touched a bird for the first time in my life. what.

longest bus ride ever. this hotel was located somewhere deep inside, idek where actually but FFFFF YEAAAHHH, OAK VALLEY RESORT IS THE BEST PLACE TO SLEEP. it's such an awesome place to stay.

hahahahhahahahahahaha, our encounter with language barrier seriously. it's just funny. what happened was our travelling adapter died while i was drying my hair and my sister needed to get her phone charged because it was running low. so my sister decided to call the front desk to borrow/lend (cannot get this right everytime) one. lol really just language barrier, all i remember what my sister said was "international adapter...charge phone..." and it went on until the person on the phone linked her to someone else. my sister still says the same thing word by word.

after she puts down the phone, she told me the person sounded familiar. not even 5 minutes and there was a ring on our door. LOLLLLL, guess who they linked us to. MY GOD DAMN PHOTOGRAPHER. WHAT. it was 12:30am and he came by with a phone charger in his hands HHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. so funny omg, he didn't even ask what phone my sister was using but he was only being nice to us lmao and when my sister told him no, he thought my sister didn't know how to plug in the adapter. lmfao. so funny. he even demoed. thinking about it makes me want to cry even more hahahahaha.

i couldn't stop laughing for hours. lol. the whole situation was so lulzy ahahahaha. putting that funny story aside, we bought ice creams and beers to try :DDD OMG LOVE THEIR ICE CREAMS PLEASE. SO TASTY!!

that's a red bean one and the orange one. my orange ice cream didn't even melt. wtf. but yeah, that's how we spent our night. laughing and enjoying the ice cream and beer. went to bed at about 1am.

ohoh, i'm such a nice person. i wrote 2 days today. will be back with more! goodnights ♥
