Why Do People Get So Bloody Ignorant And Not Know It?

you know, i know that this doesn't really have to concern me but it gets me thinking about why can people be SO ignorant about things and still think it's alright acting as if it's all cool. the worse part about this whole ignorance thing is, they could actually STILL use their ignorance to poke at someone. AND, ignorant people always thought they know something, when they actually don't. don't they think before they actually speak, and that speaking up things that aren't true, is like literally pasting a post-it on their foreheads written "HEY, I'M SO SHALLOW, PARIS SHOULD BE MY BFF."

know of Xiaxue, that blogger? i do actually read her blog and finds that most of her blog posts were rather funny although offending sometimes because she believes so much in her "freedom of speech". her latest post was rather....disrespectful. the US presidential may not be as important as her waffle crisps but i guess it was rather rude to say these.

Quote:

"I get it, he is the first Black president. I can understand if the African Americans in USA are proud of him, but why is it such a big deal to everyone else??????!

Obama did not ask to be black. He didn't work hard to be black. He is not black because he is talented. He is not talented because he is black. Neither does he represent all other black people.

My point is this: There are always many firsts in the world. Let's just imagine for a moment that McCain became the President and he is the oldest President America every got.

Whoopie! This is freedom for all old people! All old people throw confetti in the air! Now, this means that old people finally got the liberation they worked so hard for and it proves to everyone that old people can become presidents!"

being black makes you a second class citizen, being old doesn't. if you had read Sidney Poitier's autobiography, this IS a fact that black people worked very hard just to be equal and recognized. why do people believe in Obama? tell me if you think climbing up ALL the way to achieve something huge like this and being a second class citizen in such a powerful country is EASY, i'd totally thought you were telling me the lamest joke ever. sometimes, i think she underestimates humans minds other then her own.

oh well, read more on xiaxue.blogspot.com. tell me if you agree with her. oh, and i bet other white Americans, not all, but for those who voted, are proud of him too.

on another random note, this stupid conversation took place this afternoon. a conversation with a relative and ta jie. haha, seriously, this just shows HOW ignorant a person can be.

(a whole 2 paragraphs of it were deleted, ta jie thought i shouldn't be posting this up. i'm sorry to have to keep you curious now about what i wrote earlier, but seriously, was just the usual thing people like to do to annoy the shit out of you)

till then,
cheerio mates!
