this post is done out of random and this, is what my sisters and i enjoy doing (painting nails) when we're dead free. and seeing that it's a sunday, we have SO much time to kill, why not, right? :)
this idea of sharing how i did it came up last minute from me, and since i have nothing to blog about, i've decided to post up step-by-step nail painting/art.
THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED:
(for the pattern i did)

a nail polish of favoured colour, a top coat/transparent nail polish, glitter dust of any colour that you like to match with your nail polish and a cotton bud.
Step 1
apply the colour that you picked. use a base coat if you want and a layer or two for the nail polish because sometimes one layer may be a bit too thin if you want a more vibrant look. wait while the nail polish dries.
Step 2
apply a layer of top coat. proceed to step 3 before the top coat dries up.
Step 3
this is when the glitter comes in.

do this quickly as top layer dries up fast. dip the cotton bud into the glitter dust, you'll get dust sticking on the cotton.
Step 4
gently touch the cotton bud on the tip of your finger nail several times to transfer the glitter from the cotton to your nails, end result is as shown above. you may need to do a few dipping-cotton-into-dust step because you might want more dust for a better look. let it dry, and apply another layer of top coat for a more lasting look.

this is what you should end up with. well, at least this is how mine end up with. i saw them doing this in the salon, but someone was having her nails done too and i had nothing to do but to watch. :)
OTHER PATTERNS BY MY SISTERS'

you'll need rhinestones for this, although i wouldn't actually recommend you what ta jie did. lol, it's messy. and took....30 minutes!? i took an hour ish for mine.

this is er jie's design. haha, she tooked whole night to finish this. if you have tons of patience, you can try it yourself.

a closer look of a very complex looking nail. i still like mine best. simple and easy!

we waste a lot of time doing all these but well, enjoyed every minute.
TRY IT YOURSELF!
well, of course, this may not be the nicest pattern or what because it's done fully on my own. haha, if i'm so good at it, i would have go work at a nail parlour already.
