if you did noticed that i haven't been blogging for long because i was away in Penang for holidays. that time around, 1st Aunt and 2nd Aunt's family came too a day a later than us. i have to say that this trip was actually quite fun. :D cousins were a lot of fun, and we talked too much of cocky shitz. hahahaha.
Day 1, 22/12/07
reached Bukit Tambun at about 5-ish, and we met Unc Chong/11th Uncle; who was the host, at Jetty for dinner. we had seafood and left at about 7pm. to travel into Penang itself took us about 40 minutes because the traffic at Penang bridge was massive. reached uncle's place at about 8pm and toured around his new house shifted just recently. and man, his house was designed very in detail. to every tiles and doorknobs to pebbles in the garden and windchimes. you will see that later in pictures. so, after touring around, we settled down and got quick showers to freshen up ourselves. about 9.30pm, we watched movie; The Kingdom. and WOW, uncle chong did spent A LOT of money on his sound system. the impact was great enough to vibrate objects around it. it's almost so cinema like, no joke! after that, went to sleep at abour 12am.
Day 2, 23/12/07
woke up at about 9.30am. 2nd aunt's family reached at about 10am. they toured around and then off for lunch at New World's Park. had a lot of different foods, and LOL, the fried oyster aunt ordered didn't arrive until we actually finished everything, so all we did was acted that no one ordered the oyster because aunt was too full to eat anything and partly was pissed about the lousy service. after lunch was shopping at Gurney Plaza. bought christmas presents for Natalie and Darren(cousins in Penang), i'm glad they liked it.
that's the christmas deco they had outside the plaza. we shopped a little and headed back home early because uncle was hosting a Christmas party/housewarming. 1st aunt's family reached at about 4.30pm. girls helped out with the sushis and the boys helped out cooking and starting the fire which only took 10 minutes since uncle's barbeque machine was the canggih ones. :/ everything was ready by 7pm. guests started arriving. we had homemade sausages which probably is the BEST i had so far, and they are sooo addictive, had also lamb chops which uncle ordered from hotel i think? and also chicken they marinated themselves. everything was cool and camwhoring sessions, never been missed. :P

woke up about 9.30am. had breakfast at home and then lunch at Corner's Club Restaurant for dim sum.

and looked what we found. FOR LIFE AND ORDINARY MEMBERS ONLY. lol, does that even make any sense to you? so and anyways, after lunch, we walked out to gurney drive for the sea breeze and also pictures.

and since the weather was so hot, we had COLD coconut to quench out thirst. i would love to have another 20 of those and i'll be a happy person forever.
and did anyone tried coconut ice cream? because i think it's fabulous, what more on a VERY hot day.
after that, we headed to Ghee Hiang to buy sesame oil. apparently, it's the best sesame oil you can get there. had a lot of pit stops though, but i was sleeping in the car, so i don't know where did they stop. went to a restaurant for dinner, everyone ate like pigs. MEAT IS VERY ESSENTIAL. and then headed home, played cards till 2am. everyone pretty much konged out but still insisted to continue playing. ellice kinda acted drunk, i swear she had the drunk symptoms, but we didn't had any alcohol so i thought maybe it's because she was staying up late, well if you do get what i meant. lol.
Day 4, 25/12/07; Merry Christmas!we were supposed to go home today but Dad changed his mind since everything was okay in office. so mum wanted to go Kek Lok Si since she hasn't been there for 10 years. weather was STILL hot.

that's Kek Lok Si, part of it. after praying and stuff, we went lunch nearby.
went back for a rest and we watched a movie in uncle's very cosy hall. we watched When A Stranger Calls, and yeah, plus the surround system uncle had, most of us were pretty freaked out with the sound system, hahaha. at about 6pm, got ready for dinner. uncle brought us to this place, Bukit Genting, for thai food. that place rocked! the food and the scenery, not the random things they have there like a lighted leafless christmas tree, or a smiling jack o'lantern or a helicopter for deco.

that's the view from the place we had our dinner. since aunt siew choo reserved places, they gave us this chalet kind area for dinner, the wind was so strong and chilly. the food was absolutely good and filling. :D just nice for a cold night.

that's the 4 of us.(i looked totally ridiculous)headed back home after that and played cards for a while and then a movie on the 3rd floor since adults was asleep downstairs. watched Blades Of Glory, haha, a stupid funny movie indeed. went to sleep about 2am again.
Day 5, 26/12/07
day to go home. 2nd aunt's family went back at about 10am while the 1st aunt went home about 11am while us being the last, bertolak at 11.40am. stopped by Taiping on the way and reached there late enough for lunch and had to had lunch at Pizza Hut. YEAH, all the way to Taiping for pizza but there wasn't choices since it's late already. reached Klang at about 6.45pm and had dinner with 1st aunt's family. FINALLY REACHED HOME at about 8pm.
and there you go, my so called diary for the trip this time. was an enjoyable one. i'll go there again since the lodging was comfortable enough. :)
okay, don't want to blog anymore. sick of typing. will be back later.
