Xmas, Xmas, Xmas.

this was how i spent my christmas. was at SG/JB back and forth basically because it was cheaper to stay in JB, plus it's holidays seasons, hotels in SG wouldn't be any cheaper. we do have relatives there but thought that it wouldn't be appropriate/enough since there's SO many of us, so yeap, opted for a decent hotel in JB instead. rooms were pretty decent really.

anywayyyyyyyy, we set out after brunch on 25th and reached JB at around...5pm. rested and had dinner. went to bed and woke up early for breakfast the next day.

didn't do much really the next day, we thought the jam at the causeway was going to subside but lol nawh, it didn't. shopped around Orchard for about 2 hours (didn't even visit Ion :[ ) and it was christmas party over at my uncle's place! dinner was fine since i haven't seen some of them for ages and even my nephew (as in my cousin's baby) grew SO much. you know how babies grow....aaaand i also saw my cousin whom had just took up a job in SG, didn't had the chance to see her before she left but it was good to see her again. lol i love her because she used to supply me free medication.okay, that aside...i don't have any photos because my brother didn't bring the camera along. so yup :3 no photos for the first 2 days.

christmas eve!

one busy christmas eve. i have to attend a 3 hours hospital placement. well thank god i found out eventually that it's only 3 hours and not from 9am-5pm, it's going to annoy me if it takes the whole day. ON. A. CHRISTMAS. EVE. anyway, 3 hours is tolerable so i shan't complain.

i also have my bags to pack because i'm going away to singapore for 5 days the next day. have yet to think about what i want to wear. lol, shall solve that later when i dig for clothes.

and totally looking forward to the christmas buffet dinner at night  ^_________^  honestly don't know who reads this but w/e.

and when i come back from my holidays i will have to work my way through to finish all my assignments fjasjfnkasdfjdnaksdjnaskd

Langkawi!

my 600th post! wow, haven't realise how long have i been holding on to this blog...it's probably been..3 or 4 years since i had it and i guess this blog still have quite some long way to go :))

anyway, as promised, my weekend getaway in langkawi. i thought i wasn't going to enjoy much because i was worried about my work. that week was just hectic and crap. i left for langkawi by flight after my calculation test on friday. shuuush, i skipped 2 lectures........ XD also that same week i handed in my report just 2 days before my test lol not only that i even had a presentation on tuesday which is one day after i came back from langkawi. slides were all ready but i didn't even practiced or anything like that lmao plus it's a group work. the only rehearsal we had was just an hour before the presentation. even that...we only rehearsed twice LOL but like i said, i guess it still went alright after all :D

moving on!! i took the flight with my 2nd sister while my parents and the rest of my siblings had drove down and took the ferry. l o l 6 hours journey. the ferry itself was almost a 2 hours ride ;~; we reached around the same time, and they'd picked us up after renting a car.

we checked in and left for dinner. headed to Kuah Town to try out this recommended restaurant but heck, that place was so crowded. tourists must've heard of this place too, like half of the crowd were foreigners. it's not even some fancy restaurant but apparently popular for their seafood. we changed our dinner venue to this other restaurant next door since that other restaurant was too packed...like there's other 10 tables before us. to our surprise, the food next door was really really good too omg the tom yum soup, talking about it now makes me salivate D:

this blog is deaaaad and nothing but dead lol. been busy for the past weeks since school started..nothing exciting really. i've been trying to quit the habit of sleeping so late and i..well....improved a little. yes, turning over a new leaf isn't easy.....but i've been paying a lot more attention in class than i used to. 2nd year's been slightly more relaxed in terms of lecture hours and lab sessions too...but i'm sure anything gets tougher as the level increases.

keke, my kpop addiction kinda dropped too. i still keep myself updated but...probably not as efficient as i used to be. i guess it's a good thing. i can't be playing like this all the time, things need to get serious when they need to. this also reminds me that i have 3 epis of chef kiss to catch up omg. everything is okay as long as their account don't get suspended....

anyways! i'm here typing in Cameron Highlands again.

(i am writing this with a raging heart omg i accidentally deleted everything i wrote ;_____; so i'm rewriting this again and it'd probably be shorter)

drove into Seoul again and same old same old, Seoul is always so jammed up. lol. anyways, we were brought to Deoksugung Palace. not much to talk about cuz i couldn't really remember much (i have such bad memories lol :/) i'll just let the photos do all the talking okay? :)

lmao, we ~attended~ kimchi school and made kimchi + wore hanboks. lol sorry kay, my kimchi is so fugly beyond words (only because they gave me an ugly vege hahahah) and i only managed to snap mine. my sister's kimchi was pretty according to the lady. lol.

yeorobun, annyeong haseyo~ i look like i'm pregnant for 9 months. anyways, did nothing much there. we headed for nami island after that. took the boat there and surprised by the amount of locals there too! see, i told you koreans are very recreational. a lot of families and couples there. but i also guess because their summer breaks are hitting in, so a lot of them went there to have fun. idk, i'd love to do it too, i mean, with such cooling weather and all that trees, i honestly wouldn't mind cycling there. looks like a lot of fun to me.

Day 3; Everland & Myeongdong.

DAY 3.

we left jeju early morning and then drove into Seoul and uhm yah, not much different from KL. Seoul is such a BUSY city that everywhere is just jammed up. anyways, Everland is in Yongin...so i think, it was about an hour-ish bus ride there? yeap, so i slept quite a bit in the bus. 

from the photo you can actually see how hot it was that day. lol i swear i showered with my own sweat. the sun seriously....it's not even funny. i came back with tan lines on my arms and feet. lol. but yeah, still worth all that sweat. the rides in Everland...SO MUCH. FUN.

Day 1 & 2; Bits of Seoul and Jeju Island.

hai guys!! i'm homeeee and finally writing posts about my korea trip. i'm going to separate it because there's a lot to write. lol actually i'm not sure if there's a lot to write but there's a lot of photos i want to share and even more later on fb. keke. so here it goes!!

DAY 1.

so we touched down at Incheon Airport at about 7:05am and lol, the first thing i bought from the mart is this particular banana milk. not even joking, it's the best banana milk ever. it may sound a bit disgusting to people who don't like banana but trust me, it tasted really really good. my sister don't like bananas but she loved this. haha. odd.

hi guys, i'll be away from 17th to 24th! so this blog would probably be abandoned for a week :P

off to korea for holidays :DD and can't believe that SHINee's comeback have to fall on the days that i'm not around. ironic. i'm closer to them but yet so far at the same time, not being able to listen to their new album, watch their mv and then spazz together with other people. lmao. 

seriously lee taemin, what have you done to us noonas. that SHINee teaser was so....fucking amazing. they are going to reign the charts, i just know it. and fffff yeahhhh, lucifer is the perfect title song. haters to the left~

anyways, wtf i was actually here to say goodbye but ended up talking about SHINee's teaser. lol this have to stop. still have some stuff to pack, it's a night flight so i have the whole of tomorrow's afternoon to finish up packing!

ahh, geez, that Singapore trip.

Day 1, 25/12/08
everyone was awake by 7am and we took off at about 8am. had breakfast and then left for Singapore at about 9.30am. journey didn't feel long at all, we reached at about...3.30pm? i think so but to enter the country took an hour itself. got lost a little on the way to 8th uncle/Uncle Pink's place because the map was wrong. haha. we ended up going further up to Changi Airport and at that time, Auntie Eileen came into rescue. Auntie Eileen is mum's very very very old buddy since high school and she called to check on us. we told her we're lost and we're near Changi Airport. she led us to her place instead because we're like 5 minutes from her place. :D our first stop, Auntie Eileen's place! she kept persuading us to stay at her place but we refused because there's a lot of us. haha, not that her place couldn't fit us all, it was definitely enough, but it wouldn't be nice to kacau people for 4 days mah. Auntie Eileen's awesome though, the last time we saw her was 3-4 years ago? omg, and she thought my name was CLAUDIA. i thought i heard wrongly when she called me and then she asked to re-confirm my name. haha. how funny could that be. bao= claudia. lmao. back to the story, didn't do much, just catching up and Auntie Eileen's son, Nigel, is still as talkative as ever. he's probably the best human navigator i've known. dinner was with 12th uncle and his family. we slept rather early that night. :)

Day 2, 26/12/08
woke up at about 10.30am, wash up, played some piano and played with my aunt's baby. omg, babies grow like sprout overnight. we haven't seen baby Jia Yi for like half a year and she grew SOOOOOOOOOOOO much. adorable as hell, haha, omg, she's like the spotlight everyday at home. everyone loves her like how everyone loves McDonald. all 4 of us are like pedophiles.

doesn't like smiling much, but she's definitely one very smart baby who likes talking but none of us had any idea what she said. 16 months baby knows how to feed herself. :)

haha, okay too much of playing with baby. all of us had lunch at home and waited for 12th aunt to bring us shopping. vivo was the pick since there's more shops over there. didn't do much shopping though because we only had 3 hours before dinner with Auntie Eileen. i think we spent around an hour ish in Zara and an hour ish in Topshop (too many things to see what). got myself 2 tops for $30 each and 2 leggings for less than $20 each.

had dinner at Waraku Restaurant. unexplainable bliss. haha, great japanese food always shut me up. was also talking to Nigel about dslrs. contemplating between Nikon and Canon. he's a Nikon fan though. lol. went home at about 10.40pm.

Day 3, 27/12/08
got all dressed up in the morning. ta jie and er jie woke up earlier since they need to help some other people involved in the marriage to make up. we did, Jia Ying, Jia Xuan, Jia Ying's grandma, aunt, 8th aunt's, make up. wow and that was pretty rushing. maybe that's how models feel when they run backstage to get their attires changed. kinda felt like that really. the wedding was definitely planned pretty properly. they've probably got high budget too. was obvious to tell they spent quite a lot on it. well, after all wedding's a once a lifetime thing. people want it to be memorable if they can afford it.

fresh flowers instead of gaudy purple laces some people used. haha, and i thought i was the only person who thought of using fresh flowers at the car decos. it's definitely the best idea for wedding cars but also definitely more expensive. really good looking, no?

was a church wedding, so there was a lot of singing. heh, the baby gave way too! she's a lifesize babydoll.

and omholycow, that's probably the nicest wedding veil i'd ever seen. the dress was pretty crazy as well.

after that was the lunch buffet and they sure do spend a bomb on it too. i mean seriously, who serves soft shell crabs and crayfish for lunch buffet!? but that was also the time i got sick, by the time i finished my lunch, i told er jie i wasn't feeling very well already. so she accompanied me to the toilet to see if i could vomit my food out because that's going to make me feel better. i did force my food out eventually and i did felt better. we were supposed to go shopping after that but mum said we'll go home first if my body cannot take it. so we went home for a short rest, took a shower and slept for a bit and THAT was the time i felt REALLY sick, i couldn't eat properly. i vomit my food every now and then, along with slight diarrhoea from time to time. my siblings did go shopping after that though, my parents stayed home just so they can take care of me. Jia Ying brought the 3 of them to Orchard for shopping. tempted to go but really couldn't make it. haha. what a loser i am.

i had to even visit the DOCTOR there. i think i slept early that night. stupid suffering night.

Day 4, 28/12/08
the day of the luncheon and i didn't attend because i wasn't fit enough.

watched a couple of dvds, ate porridge and used the laptop.

having fun dressing up and ate good lunch. HOW SAD CAN THIS BEEE!!!!!! i was there initially for the wedding and i had to stay home in the end because i got sick!? all sounded like a joke because i was so excited about in the beginning, wtf.

the menu i missed. dad was pretty happy about the food.

they went shopping again after thattttt. i had dinner at 10pm. lol.

Day 5, 29/12/08
left Singapore at about 11-ish pm.

No Food For Hungry Stomachs.

jim brickman's christmas songs are AMAZING. well, those are classic christmas songs played on piano. what more can you ask eh? :) piano, christmas songs....they make a good combination at putting yourself in a good mood for christmas and that's exactly what i'm feeling right now. :)

so anyways, i was off at Cameron again for 4 days 3 nights. man, i didn't feel like i've completed things to do there. a simple reason, NO STEAMBOAT THIS TRIP! we were supposed to have steamboat on the last night, headed to Country Lodge but NO, they were under renovation. THE BEST PLACE FOR STEAMBOAT IS UNDER RENOVATION. then we headed to this restaurant at Kea Farm but NO, they were closed for the day, who would have thought that'd happen? so we said, "alright no steamboat, but let's get back to Restaurant Tringkap" because they plainly serves the BEST food ever but NO, they were booked for the day, some other people had some occasions going on. as desperate as we could get, we headed for the restaurant next door which was a TOTALx4 rip off. 5 plates of noodles, a plate of fried calamaris and a plate of fried abalone MUSHROOMS totaled up to what... RM140? but i guess they knew we would only visit their restaurant once so they took their chance and decided to slash us at high price.

this trip was with 3rd uncle's family, was a good one. :)
