on another random note, haha, AI just shocked everyone. i like Kris Allen but i thought Adam Lambert was gonna win since he does appear to be more popular but come to think of it, AI hasn't got any acoustic singers as winners yet, so this is something new. whether he (Adam) wins or not he'll still do well in the music industry, he just created a storming fan base anyways after that show. hopefully both of them will do equally well in the future. :D

Bao Is Baking?

hah, guess what? i baked (again) today! i was going to make cupcakes for dad since it's his birthday today (5th May actually) but mum said why not make carrot cake cause dad likes carrot cake. so we made him carrot cake instead. haha. i tried the buttercream frosting recipe that i found on the net, it worked but the sugar can be cut down by half. YES, half is good. you don't want diabetes. mum's carrot cake recipe worked as well, she hadn't tried it though before this. wouldn't say i done this fully on my own, i mean, i would have turn the cake into a pile of zapped disaster if she didn't guide me. after all it's my 2nd time baking, i still need some assistance. heh. this is proof of me getting so unbelievably bored, resorting to baking had never been my top choice but i'm already doing this. what's going on?!

but anyways, the cake was great though icing was a little bit sweet for our liking and the cinnamon could be cut down as well. why am i talking like i'm a professional wtf.

i definitely didn't write the "happy" because "birthday" and "DAD" were written by me and there are such big differences. the "happy" is so.........wriggly. ta jie just don't have the patience.

i made 3 sides though, another side was made by ta jie. haha. :P a lot of space more for improvement, this was rather messy. but frosting the cake was definitely NOT easy. requires skills. i can't even make it....smooth, i gave up and ta jie finished the frosting job.

this is my dad, and he's 53 years old. (i think :/)

and this is my family. my brother looked so much like me we could definitely pull off as twins while both my sisters looked differently (that's what most people say, they always think we're FRIENDS). haha, and i had to take a pillow and cover because my garfield house tee looks horrible. :S

everyone at home is teasing me because i'm baking, wtf!

anyways, on last saturday i went for Lee Hom's concert and i'm still in awe because the concert was very very well done. everything was planned properly, twas about a 2 1/2 hours show (daniel lee and some other gal's show for half an hour does not count) it started right about 8.30pm, and then everyone just went mental, crazy shouting fans (including me) was all over the place. there weren't many intervals, could say he sang consecutively. changing clothes took max. only 5 minutes.

the stage. my sisters and i regretted for not buying the more expensive tickets really. too late! but if he comes again next year, we're investing in the tickets because we know it'll be well right worth it like this year's!

i don't know where he'd gotten his ideas for the concert but like the newspaper had said, it was a top notch performance. this year's concert was more of a....comic superhero thing and the visual effects was really really cool. he had a lot of surprises for his fans, definitely a lot of effort into it as well. i mean, which artist would ride a bike without his fans knowing, covering his face with a black cloth while on the bike, and then having a substitute on the stage letting the fans think that he's on the stage going into a magic box and then appeared in the middle of the aisle! well we were sitting far up so we could see what's going on but wasn't too sure what's happening because it was dark in there, all of the sudden you see security guards all over the place and then people running behind the bikes to make sure he's okay.

no one was expecting him to do that though, so everyone went mental again when he appeared there, like wtf, if i'd bought the more expensive ticket i could have seen him nearer already!

can't deny that's he a great performer as well as an amazing musician. knowing how to play all four instruments, from piano to guitar to violin (he did When You Wish Upon A Star with it and it's crazy) to drums. i went crazy when he started jazzing with the piano, haha, and i knew almost all the songs sang, probably didn't know 2 songs, and they had lyrics on the screen, so it was good. haha, too bad my sisters couldn't read the chinese characters.

couldn't take much pictures though. security guards were roaming around to check out for any signs of flash. we had videos though, HAHA. this picture was taken before it started.

so yeah, enjoyed a lot, had fun looking at his face. he could stand there and do nothing and people will still be shouting. his body is to die for as well, omg. :S i wonder who's Kelly though, because he knew her name and her birthday, wtf and wished her Happy Birthday on stage too. geez.


come back next year Lee Hom, meanwhile, i'll save up some money. lol.

Quick Update.

and so....... i haven't do my post about the mooncake festival. or maybe i wouldn't do it already since i have another post coming up! hmmm, well, i'll see...i think i'll blog it during the weekend seeing that my class is starting tomorrow! (i know ta jie the londoner will come visit here to see if i update anything about family affairs)

(just a simple one since i already wished you twice yesterday)

it's not like you come here and read anyways, but since i remembered while i blog now, so might as well. thanks for your dinner yesterday, although i didn't drink much but i did get red. i mean, it's not like i need to drink a lot to get red, one cup is enough to make me red but obviously not drunk. i think i have high alcohol tolerance, or at least i'd like to think i have. haha. yesterday was rather good actually, most friends were his and my sister's but i was joining the alcohol session and even stayed over because party doesn't end early and to stop mum from worrying us coming back late, we decided to stay over anyways. lol, and live music from abang joseph as the singer and abang william and abang robin as the guitarists. :P

okay, time calls for me. can't stay up late no more..

1st reason: classes are starting i need more rest for more energy of course.
2nd reason: i asked the hairstylist why am i getting bad dandruff problems which i haven't got for a long time. the first question she asked me was if i had enough sleep, so that explains everything.
3rd reason: because i had sensitive scalp which lead to those bloody dandruff, i spent a whopping rm48 for a small bottle of shampoo, just so to reduce the dandruff and i don't want to spend the next rm48 again after i finished it. so i prefer sleeping early now or else it's going to turn into a chronic hair disease(i made that up, choi..)

i know i should have done this like...2 days ago (well since it's already 1.13am, i count it as 2 days)

i know you probably won't read this because you don't come online at all, but still, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! your golden year, and you're 50 already. you've completed 3/4 of your life already and still living strong, healthy and well...i consider, wealthy enough to dress nicely. hehe.

oh well, guess what? dad got mum an even bigger bouquet of flowers which doesn't cost cheap. it's so big, you could play hide and seek behind it, trust me. cuz dad left the rest to the florist, so she didn't give him a hand bouquet.

there's like....more than 6 kinds of flowers, i think (since i only counted them through this picture)

since mum didn't want to slice any cake, sister Li still thinks she'd want to get her cakes. so she went over to Fruity and got like, BUY 3 FREE 1..
